We’re really excited to announce that one of the UK's leading teachers and evangelists Carl Beech is coming to speak at Jersey Keswick in October this year. Carl has recently taken up the post of UK Director for the Message Trust, responsible for rolling out Message ministries across the UK.  The Message Trust are committed to reaching this generation with the gospel through a mix of creative mission through music, dance and theatre; community transformation through Eden and the Eden Bus; and Christ-centred enterprise through work in prisons and the Message Enterprise Centre, across the UK.

The Message Trust’s roots are in Manchester, but the last five years have seen an explosion of new ministry across England, Scotland and Wales, starting in 2010 with Eden London and a growing number of regional Eden hubs. Focussed Message ministry began in the Midlands in 2013, in Scotland in 2014, and in Wales in September this year.

‘This is a season of open doors for The Message,’ comments Message Trust founder Andy Hawthorne. ‘God is giving us all kinds of opportunities to bless the poor and reach the hardest-to-reach young people with the good news of Jesus here in the UK and, increasingly, around the world.’

‘At the heart of The Message is a bunch of “mates on mission”. Carl is already a great friend of The Message – we’ve been cheering each other on for years. So when God made it clear we were to link arms for the sake of the least and the lost here in the UK, we sensed this was an amazing opportunity to make a mark for Jesus together in this generation.’

Carl has been a Church leader and more recently the National Director for CVM (Christian Vision for Men). He writes "Joining forces with The Message and standing with Andy Hawthorne and the leadership team to see the movement he founded spread across the UK to reach the hardest to reach in the toughest places is a fulfilment of the call God first placed in my heart and spirit in 1990,’ says Carl. ‘We feel that we are on the cusp of something incredible and are stretching out in faith and vision to see God’s Kingdom transform the most broken lives.’

Carl Beech

Formerly a Financial Advisor, Carl Beech is now the UK Director of The Message Trust, a charity focused on reaching the hardest to reach young people with the message of Jesus. He is also president of Christian Vision for Men (CVM). Under his leadership at CVM he spoke to thousands of men around the world each year and saw CVM expand into a global movement working in countries as far afield as Cambodia. Carl is the founder and host of 'The Gathering', a major festival for men in the UK. Always a church planter he currently co leads a new church called Redeemer King in Chesterfield in his spare time.

Carl is the author of several books, including The Manual, a powerful series of Bible notes for men. TV survival celebrity Bear Grylls has commended the Manual and encouraged Christian men in the UK to get on board. He said: “The Manual is powerful personal and relevant – it has helped me a lot to live my faith day by day”.

Carl has been married to Karen for 22 years and together they have two teenage daughters. He enjoys sporting challenges and has run the London, Snowdonia and Chesterfield Marathons, cycled from Lands End to John o'Groats, Calais to Nice, the length of Italy and Port Elizabeth to Cape Town.

Jamie Hill

Jamie Hill is the Executive Director of Missions for the Message Trust and oversees all creative mission in schools and prisons throughout the movement. Jamie has served the Bible Society in reaching young people across the globe and has also toured extensively as a lead worshipper and as part of various bands seeking to reach people with the gospel. He is married to Naomi and they have 2 young children, Talitha (5) and Josiah (3).  He heads up the worship life of the Message movement and serves in Life church in south manchester.  He is desperately trying to get fit so he can raise some money for the Message doing some crazy active things - if you see him, tell him to put down the donut!
